Online Musical S.T.E.M. piano camp

Piano STEM will activate both sides of your brain through music and science.
Musical STEM is an elementary-level camp for playing the piano alongside science, technology, engineering, and math.  It's different from many music camps because it includes playing the piano and was designed to include students of different ages and piano skills into one class.

This camp will bridge the gap between subjects which are consistently separated from the arts, when in fact, if combined add a new richness to learning.

We will run the 45-minute camp once a week for 6 weeks.

Cost: $100
Dates:  Tuesdays June 9 - July 14
Times: 10:15-11:00am or 4:15-5:00pm

Looking at the life and inventions of Bartolomeo Cristofori, we'll learn how a piano is made.

Maybe we'll even make our own piano
                               . . . with bananas!!

Or use a tuning fork to explain frequency and dissonance!!

And what exactly does quicksand have to do with finding the beat in music?

Find out all this and more at Musical S.T.E.M. Piano Camp!!

"Humans are wired to be sensitive to sound patterns, and this sensitivity allows music to foster communication and imagination in young children," a Carnegie Hall study finds.  The study goes on to say, "Music, with its tempo and rhythm, verses and choruses, provides clear structures that help children learn the rules and routines for being together."

This is a wonderful time to introduce music to your preschooler!!

In this group class for preschoolers, you can expect your child to learn:

- rhythm recognition while developing a steady beat
- concentration and learning to read music
- developing fine motor and cognitive ability

Wild West Piano Camp Adventure

This summer students are invited to sign up for 3-day mini camps.  Camp cost is $80, which includes materials.

It's the ballad of little fingers as our second camp is a Wild West Piano Camp!! We will focus on repetition and creativity, while pulling up our boot straps to understand how music is made.

A warrant has been issued for a notorious Practice Outlaw! Considered to be dangerously diligent and armed with musical skill.  The search begins June 25.  All suspects are considered guilty until proven innocent.

Using an interactive, story-based approach, we will have your piano students begging to do their technical exercises.  TEDDtales will focus on students’ note-reading skills, sight-reading abilities, finger strength, and muscle coordination.

As an added bonus, students who participate in this camp will go home with their own musical comic book. An adventure that will keep the student focused and inspired.  Indeed, the Adventures of Fearless Fortissimo is a resource that will harness the power of the "active" student and use it to produce fantastic piano players!
